According to the internet, there is no "KDE5" [1] -- the thing is now

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi Rianav
You ran into https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=218187
You can apply the patch from the pr, and rebuild qt5-qmake and qt5-core.

Hi there
The development repository that the KDE-FreeBSD team uses to work on the KDE
ports for FreeBSD is moving to github. For a long time we have been using
'area51', an SVN repository kindly hosted by PC-BSD and iX Systems. At this
point in time, we believe that moving to github will make the
ch of a coder anymore, but maybe I could help with something

Hi there
Yes, unfortunately I can confirm that kwin also segfaults for me now
-- I normally use the environment variable KDEWM and use an other WM,
so I didn't notice the breakage before updating to kwin-5.10.0. I will
investigate it as soon as I have time.

Hi Paul
You're ports tree is slightly outdated. qt5-clucene was reintegrated
into qt5-help late last year.
Can you upgrade your portstree?

I opened an upstream bug-report for it:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381210
Please try to add the information you gathered there.

Hi
Infortunately I did not yet have time to look into the issue -- please

Hi Mario
The plasma5 branch is mostly "Plasma5" only -- most of the KDE4 stuff has
been removed.
Even by mixing ports-trees, you cannot install both versions at the same
time in general as they have many conflicting files.
It is possible to run certain KDE4 based applications inside a Plasma5
Hi there
There has been a report of this issue in IRC too. I could not yet
personally reproduce it on my machines.

Hi all
Plasma5 in the development repo [1] has been updated to the 5.11 beta [2].
Please let us know if anything is broken, so that we can try to fix it
before the 5.11 release :)

Hi there
I'm sorry, due to some minor brain freeze, I commited the update to the
unreleased plasma 5.11 too early. Please do not update your ports until I
fix it :)
Sorry for the hassle. I'll write a mail, once its fixed.
mfg Tobias
The changes have been backed out again.

Hi Stari
You have to check out the plasma5 branch of that repository.

Hi there
This is the FreeBSD KDE Mailinsg list, not the Debian one :)
You should be able to find information on how to reach them here:

Hi there
With the update to KDE Frameworks 5.39 we seem to have caught a bug.
systemsettings5 will segfault if you enabled the new kirigami2 based view.
If it crashes you can edit ~/.config/systemsettingsrc by setting
'ActiveView=icon_mode' in the Main section:
