Hi Jepser I added a slightly modified version of your idea to the plasma5 branch in r 13609. I'm not quite sure if it is ideal to have just "bits" of plasma5 in the ports tree, when we cannot provide the whole desktop -- which we can't until wayland is in... But we should maybe think about it

Hi Dwayne Yes, that's pretty much my experience with it too. Notably folders with less than 1000 mails seem to work well. Though I had phases were it worked great (before again shattering my dreams :D) I assume you also see stuff ala "can't connect to akonadi server" and "world is going to end"
