Do you first set the audio reference? The audio reference task is done at background and at the status bar, left bottom corner it says... When you align the track, it moves... and you can clearly can see when it moves.. and while doing the analysis, again there is the status bar at left bottom...

I can hide the timeline as you said. But mos frequently I just mate the timeline really small by dragging it down or making the tracks smaller I reach out the mouse to to the area just below clip monitor and the icon change and I make it smaller or use the button to increase or decrease the size

I have just updated to fedora32. Fedora doesn' t is like the most bleeding edge and was enough stable to em... But I' m unable to install kdenlive from any repository, is kdenlive not shipped anymore with fedora? (I know I should be asking this there, but.. maybe some one know something)...
