Developers,
I have created a patch for Kdenlive that adds support for the new MLT Dynamic
Text Filter to the effect stack.
The patch and a screenshot are here:

I hope you will consider it for inclusion in Kdenlive.

ith adding
text outline and padding. The current patch is, in my opinion, the bare minimum
needed to make the effect useful. I may end up adding new patches to the Mantis
issue as I get around to adding those features. I also plan on writing a

effects to the overlay such as:
* Make the overlay fade in for a few seconds and then fade out
* Make the overlay move around the screen.
I'll upload an new patch to the bug tracker after I think I have resolved your
comments.

I have submitted a patch for your consideration:

It adds a date column to the project tree view. I hope you find it useful.
Thanks for your consideration,

It really depends on your use case.
The ITU did a study and found that the threshold of detectability of lip sync

So we could start with frame accuracy first.
It stands to reason that you could start with frame accuracy, and then see if
there is any demand for sub-frame accuracy.

Great. It sounds like the refactor will be in master in about 3 weeks. I'll
bring the topic up then and we can decide how to proceed at that time.

Way to go.
I might have some small bursts of time available in my evenings. So feel free

I am referring to the v0.9 "stable" branch.

It seems premature to me.
