the IMAP log file has 30MB and ~1,000,000 lines already so it doesn't seem like
it plans to stop:

I can add that, at least for me still on Kubuntu 15.10 Beta2 with all upgrades
this also affects pop3 access to office365.com. Just to test I deleted the IMAP
and created a POP3 account instead.
