This could be behind part of the problem described in bug 409183. However, bug
409183 is about username/password authentication being used according to the

I've added 2 screenshots with the "Prefer HTML to plain text" option disabled.
Both should show the orange HTML notice shown, but one does not. I don't really
know what else to say, since a majority of the e-mails I have
