Recently I learned that akonadi logs to .xsession-errors ... and found the
following lines multiple times in a row (sometimes hundreds of them):

This bug is most certainly related to bug #315382. More precisely, this
behaviour is observed coincidently by our admin whenever I get these errors at
the client side.

While not finding the correct hook for checking mysql execution I found that
the KDE factory repository for my suse has provided an update of the
akonadi_runtime package

Update: I observe high CPU usage (approx. 50%) by mysql every five/six minutes
for around two minutes. In the desktop search settings, file indexing is
disabled and mail indexing
