[Bug 259293] New: Find messages in kmail2 has bugged drop down list of message parts to search
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259293 Summary: Find messages in kmail2 has bugged drop down list of message parts to search Product: kmail2 Version: 2.0.89 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: gre...@gmail.com Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.85) OS:Linux If I open the search dialog and want to change the part of the message in which I want to perform the search (e.g. Subject, Body of Message), the control does not properly update when I change my selection. For example, if I manually input 'Body' in there and then open the drop down menu and choose something else, this something else does not appear in the dialog. Also, if I just pick one thing from the drop down menu and then pick something else, the previously selected item becomes cut off after about 15 letters with no hint of the just selected item. If I then pick different things in the drop down menu, I get weird different results. For example, when the dialog opened, I first chose 'All recipients' and then changed it to 'Anywhere in the headers' and now the text 'All recipien Headers' appears in the control with the letter 'n' somehow misshaped. I think this is a visual bug because if I choose 'Size in Bytes' the control text is still wierd (currently 'All Recipienes') but the search terms field has changed into a numeric input and currently says '0 bytes' (which seems a weird default, but that's besides the point :)). [Bug 259297] New: IDLE does not work for IMAP messages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259297 Summary: IDLE does not work for IMAP messages Product: Akonadi Version: 1.4.80 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: IMAP resource AssignedTo: er...@kde.org ReportedBy: gre...@gmail.com CC: vkra...@kde.org, kdepim-bugs@kde.org Version: 1.4.80 (using KDE 4.5.85) OS:Linux I am trying IDLE (IMAP email push) and it does not seem to be working. If I send a message from one email account (not monitored by kmail) to another, kmail/akonadi will only display this message after it syncs folders. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259143 --- Comment #4 from mps moabi2000 gmail com 2010-12-09 19:43:36 --- Hi Tobias, Thanks for the clarification and advice - I shall have to go back to 4.5, which is a pity. I must say that given the current state of kmail 2 (just look at the severity of the 200 or so open bugs - apart from the huge cpu use problem, there is data loss, missing core functionality, emails getting sent multiple times, you name it) I think this is extremely unfortunate. Releasing 4.6 with the only kdepim option being 4.6 in this state is going to get KDE *WAY* more flak than the 4.0 release ever did. I know there are a few more weeks of fixing to go before the release, so maybe I am too pessimistic, but something to consider I think. Bon courage! https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259342 --- Comment #2 from Brian Beck brian beck76 gmail com 2010-12-09 20:26:18 --- Thanks Tobias. It appears that kubuntu is packaging the wrong .desktop files. [Bug 259392] New: Could not send messages when automatic encoding is selected
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259392 Summary: Could not send messages when automatic encoding is selected Product: kmail2 Version: 2.0.89 Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: composer AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: sja...@gmail.com Version: 2.0.89 OS:Linux When I compose a new message and try to send it, I get following error twice: Could not compose message: No charsets were available for encoding. Please report this bug.. When I click OK it appears again, and after next 'OK' it's gone. But the message is not sent. I added several encodings to the list of supported charsets in kmail's configuration, but it didn't help. What helped was changing the encoding from 'default' to anything else. But I can't find a way to set it permanently to something else, so I have to do this every time I compose a new email. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Create a new message, try to send it. Not sometimes, it happens every time. I have to quit kmail and start it again to get rid of unread message numbers from folder names. [Bug 257856] Magic Next Button jumps to unread Kolab groupware objects
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257856 --- Comment #3 from Volker Krause vkrause kde org 2010-12-10 08:56:52 --- There are two possible scenarios here: - The Kolab folder is detected correctly and thus not visible in KMail. The next button should of course not jump into such a folder. - The Kolab folder is not detected correctly (eg. due to broken annotations on the server). In this case the problem is elsewhere (eg. loss of annotations), we cannot detect such folders as Kolab folders as Tobias noted correctly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
