[kmail2] [Bug 350737] KMail/KF5 Blocking UI Call when Opening ODF Mail Attachement

2015-09-17 Thread Andreas Cord-Landwehr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350737

@Gunter: at least I cannot reproduce this behavior (invoked application behind
kmail main window) on my system and the patch's changes should not cause such a
behavior.
If the problem remains, please open a new bug report. Otherwise, your issue
might be overlooked, here at the backlog of a fixed bug report.
Cheers, Andreas

[kmail2] [Bug 347478] Can't add a local folder in kmail

2015-09-17 Thread ahn567
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347478

ahn...@gmail.com changed:

I too have this problem on Debian Jessie.

The workaround that has was suggested in Comment 2 (to add the "Create" item
in akonadiconsole -> browser tab, select KMail Folders, rightclick->Folder
Properties -> Item Access Rights ) does work, but only until KMail is closed.
When KMail is started for the 2nd time, the workaround fails because that
setting in akonadiconsole has been re-set to its default state of no Item
Access Rights, as per the message on that dialog:

"These values are provided by the corresponding backend and not intended to be
changed by you "

So the obvious fix is to get the "corresponding backend" to turn "Create" on
as one of the Item Access Rights (instead of turning it off). My guess is
that the default has been set to "no folder creation at top level" because when
it is allowed, a different context menu is being used that includes not only
Add Folder, but also Delete Folder (regardless of whether Delete has been
selected as an Item Access Right). This looks a bit dangerous at top level.

In summary, the previously suggested workaround is not useful, and this still
needs to be fixed.

Basically I would like to a variation of "Standard mailing list" aggregation
that works even if I don't have the initial message. The current form doesn't
do aggregation unless I have the initial message or if this is an actual
mailing list.

[kmail2] [Bug 352833] New: Message list cleared after deleting top message

2015-09-17 Thread der_fenix
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352833

Bug ID: 352833
Summary: Message list cleared after deleting top message
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: derfe...@gmail.com

Almost everytime I delete top message from messages list in inbox all other
messages dissapears. Switch to another folder and then switch back - returns
other messages.

Tryed to reproduce this within other folders, but with no luck. Tryed to move
some messages in inbox and then reproduce - no luck too. Move messages, mark
them as unreaded - first top message was deleted without the bug, on second -
other messages dissapears again.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have some unread mail in your inbox (may be in other too, but only with
short messages list)
2. Delete messages one by one from top

Actual Results:
Messages list become visually empty, but messages still present - you can
switch to another folder and switch back to get messages list back.

HI.

I'm having a similar problem with kmail 4.14.2 on Debian. Most of the time
kmail authenticates and downloads mail. However a most nights little bit after
10pm local time while on my home network, kmail starts getting authentication
errors from outlook365. I tried reconnecting a few times but kmail rarely
re-authenticates correctly until the next day.

Hi!

I am using kde-apps 15.08.1 version of kmail and I am having problems with an
Exchange 2010 system, afaik. Nonetheless the symptoms are similar. Sometimes I
am getting my INBOX updated, but most of the day not. I cannot even reproduce
the update reliably. Stopping akonadi and restarting kmail won't work.

I too am seeing this endless sequence in my imap-log:
...
S: * SEARCH
S: A032761 OK SEARCH completed.
C: A032762 UID SEARCH UID 65508001:6551
S: * SEARCH
S: A032762 OK SEARCH completed.
C: A032763 UID SEARCH UID 65510001:65512000
... and so on and on.

In my .xsession-errors I got the impression, that it actually gets the new
mails and feeds them to the indexer:
Wrote 19189 bytes to ".../.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/992243_r0"

log_akonadi_indexer_agent: Indexed 3 items in (ms): 13
log_akonadi_indexer_agent: Indexing complete. Total time: 15
log_akonadi_indexer_agent: Processing done

All those e-Mail-Subjects are new and not in my inbox. For at least half a
dozen akonadi restarts I was only seeing them once.

So, different exchange server version, similar output and it looks like the new
mails are indexed. But I am getting only around one INBOX update a day. All
other accounts are working flawlessly.

What can I do to help?

All the best,

Jan
