- composer opens only if a kmail session is present
- or if I delete /tmp/akonadi-user.xx

it's not a bad icon. It was created by designer.
So you can report it to design team but it's not a kmail problem.

It seems that it's a problem with akonadisearch contact.

On my 11.1-amd64 box, it's the two stream settings,
net.local.stream.recvspace=65536 and net.local.stream.sendspace=65536 seem to
have done the trick. I'll use KMail some more today and see what happens.
