[kmail2] [Bug 396827] New: Tooltips appear on wrong monitor

2018-07-24 Thread Kevin Herron
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396827

Bug ID: 396827
Summary: Tooltips appear on wrong monitor
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.7.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kevinher...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I have 2 monitors, with KMail open on the secondary monitor to the right.

Context menus appear in the correct place, but all tooltips render on the right
side of the primary monitor rather than where they should (or anywhere) on the
left monitor.

Some info from `xrandr -q`:

DP-2 connected primary 5120x2880+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
600mm x 340mm

DP-4 connected 5120x2880+5120+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
600mm x 340mm

[kmail2] [Bug 378281] column width in messages list view not retained

Martin Tlustos changed:

Version|5.4.3 |5.8.3

It's still there in 5.8.3. A workaround is to click the column headings and
choose "adjust column width" (not sure, my settings are German).
A possible solution would be to add a setting to always automatically adjust
column widths.

- The code?
- Or the data?

When data, how did you rebuild it?

[kmail2] [Bug 396809] New: Crash on shutdown

2018-07-24 Thread Con Kolivas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396809

Bug ID: 396809
   Summary: Crash on shutdown
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.7.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@kolivas.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kmail (5.7.3)

Qt Version: 5.9.5
Frameworks Version: 5.44.0
Operating System: Linux 4.17.2-ck1+ x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Kmail crashed when I shut it down.

More info:

Kmail was unable to move emails due to email management hanging whenever it
sees a .ics file in an email in my imap inbox. This happens with 100%
reproducibility. I usually close kmail and open akonadi console to clear the
cache and restart akonadi server - which crashes 100% of the time when I do
that too but am unable to submit a bug report since there are no debugging
packages.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

boospy: can you describe better where to find the "load external references"?
For example with a screenshot.
I ask because I can't find the setting you're referring to.

Hmm, I found it now: it's the menu folder in the main menu (on top of kmail)
and
not on the folder itself. In my case "load external references" is grayed out.
