To clarify: the connection works in SSL/TLS mode but if I go back to STARTTLS
and restart akonadi it fails again with the same error message (sorry it's in
Spanish but I guess you'll understand it :-) ):

org.kde.pim.pop3resource: == ERROR DURING POP3 SYNC
==
org.kde.pim.pop3resource: UID list from server is not valid.

So, switching to SSL/TLS is just a workaround.
(Let me know how to send you access to a test email account if needed).

I'll follow the other bug report too, thanks!

Unless you have access to an account that doesn't work, no.

I'll close this, since you say that the connection works (with the patch), we
can track the configuration problem at

2021-12-14 Thread Albert Astals Cid
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447005

Bug ID: 447005
Summary: Akonadi POP3 Resource settings not updated when
changing configuration
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: POP3 Resource
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: aa...@kde.org
CC: aa...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

If you change from SSL to STARTTLS or similar, you need to akonadictl restart,
which is not very use friendly.

Simply pressing Ok/Apply on the user interface should work.

[kmail2] [Bug 446837] Add recursive option to "Hide this folder in the folder selection dialog"

2021-12-14 Thread David de Cos
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446837

--- Comment #8 from David de Cos ---
Hi Laurent,

You're right, I didn't report it correctly. I've been testing it more
thoroughly, and I think I have a clearer picture now. In order to reproduce it,
you need to:
1) Find an empty folder. If you don't have one, create it.
2) Close KMail.
3) Open KMail and go straight to right click on the empty folder. The entry
"Folder properties" isn't in the menu!
4) Right click on any other folder that isn't empty. "Folder properties" is
there, as normal.
5) Go back to right click on the empty folder. "Folder properties" reappears.

So it only happens right after starting KMail, and before clicking on any
non-empty folder. That's exactly what I was doing when testing the folder
plugin yesterday, so I interpreted it wrongly.

One more thing: actually, the folder doesn't have to be empty. In reality, step
number 1 should be "find a folder in which no message is selected". I actually
don't know how to do that on purpose, but the fact is that I have some old
folders in which I hadn't entered in a while, which do not have any message
selected. So if I right click on those folders after starting KMail, the menu
entry isn't there. Maybe you know how to unselect all messages in a folder,
otherwise just use an empty one.

Thanks!
