[korganizer] [Bug 453292] KOrganizer shows wrong month form in headers

KOrganizer uses the "month" form in many places which may be incorrect.
Could you tell me whether they should also be changed to "standalone"?

* In the Month view, the first and last days of each month have a month name,
but in a short form that may accidentally look correct.

* In the Agenda view, the column headers likewise use the short form.

* On the Recurrence tab of the incidence editor, if the event repeats yearly,
the month names in the "on" pull-down menu.

* If an event repeats yearly, the month names in the pop-up text that appears
when you hold the cursor over the event, and in the Item Viewer
(Settings > Sidebar > Show Item Viewer) when you select the event.

* File > Print Preview, then choose "Print month": the month names in the
"Start month" and "End month" pull-down menus, and the month names in
the headers of the preview pages.

* File > Print Preview, then choose "Print year": the month names in the
preview pages.

* File > Print Preview, then choose "Print week" and "Print as split week
view":
the month names in the headers of the preview pages.

Only recurring meeting from external invites are missing, but all of them.

If I create a recurring event directly in KOrganizer, it does show up there and
also in Thunderbird and everywhere else.

Here is one such meeting, which I have accepted via Thunderbird, because the
invite e-mail was not properly rendered in KMail (probably a separate new bug).
Inspection with Akonadi Console shows ...
- It has a unique ID
- It has a very long remote ID:

- The GID is empty
- The mime type is 'application/x-vnd.akonadi.calendar.event'
- The payload field is empty
- There are no attributes set

Are all recurring meetings missing, or just the occurrences of the invitation
that you accepted in step 1?

If you create a recurring event from scratch, do its occurrences show up?

Could you use akonadiconsole to inspect the meeting?
- apt install akonadiconsole
- Run akonadiconsole
- Select the Browser tab.
- Select the CalDAV calendar in the top-left Collection window.
- Select Model: Calendar/Tasks in the top right corner.
- Look for the meeting. Do you notice anything odd? Does it have a UID?
If you are willing to copy the contents of the Raw Payload tab, -out
sensitive details,
and send it to me, that might be helpful.

[korganizer] [Bug 452264] Appointment reminder handling reduces usability and functionality between 21.12.3 and 22.03.80

2022-05-03 Thread Volker Krause
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452264

We cannot have the same level of detail for the suspend time UI as the old
dialog had, system notifications are much more restricted in that regard.
However, there is certainly room to improve the current system.

The 5 minute interval makes sense for events at a fixed time in say the next
hour or so (eg. meetings or calls) I think. For events in the more distant
future, all day events, todos (or events used to represent tasks) we can
probably find better defaults. Something proportional to the distance to the
event would seem like it would address at least some of the problems?

We also have the option to re-purpose the third action button for an additional
choice. That is currently used to open online meeting links or the map of the
event location, which are actions that are most relevant close to the event,
while days earlier a second suspend interval choice might be more useful
instead?

Currently you can drag from the Agenda view to a KMail composer or to the Mail

2022-05-03 Thread David
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453343

Bug ID: 453343
Summary: KMail unable to send encrypted emails when using X.509
certificate and self encryption
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.19.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: crypto
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kitt...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If self encryption is activated for sent messages, when selecting a X.509
certificate to encrypt emails Kmail refuses to proceed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set an X.509 certificate to sign/encrypt in current identity
2. Create a new email to a recipient there exist a valid key for, and activate
encryption

OBSERVED RESULT
KMail says "no valid encryption keys are found" to encrypt for myself, even
though the key is set and works perfectly (tested in Kleopatra)

EXPECTED RESULT
It should of course work.

2022-05-03 Thread David

Summary: KMail bad signature when using S/MIME
   Product: kmail2

  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: crypto
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kitt...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When sending a signed email in the S/MIME format, the email is marked to have
"invalid signature" when read.
If instead S/MIME opaque is selected, the signature is recognized valid by the
sender account, invisible by others.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select S/MIME signing mode from settings
2. Set an X.509 certificate for signing
3. Send signed email

OBSERVED RESULT
When sending a signed email in the S/MIME format, the email is marked to have
"invalid signature" when read.
If instead S/MIME opaque is selected, the signature is recognized valid by the
sender account, invisible by others.

EXPECTED RESULT
Of course signature should always be visible no matter the recipient, and valid
no matter the signing format.

[Akonadi] [Bug 453299] kalendarac: Notifications miss option to edit event directly

2022-05-03 Thread Till Schäfer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453299

Created attachment 148530
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=148530=edit
highlighted event in Korganzer

I still think that an edit button would make things easier.

First, simply having an edit button is a one click solution, while the current
solution would be to click the notification, and editing the event in a second
step.

Second, there are some issues, that are more Korganizer related, which make the
"Edit the highlighted event in Korganizer" step cumbersome:
* The highlighted event is barely visible to me. Can you see the highlighted
event in the attached screenshot? For me that is only visible if multiple
entries from the same calendar are next to each other. In this case I can see a
slight color difference in direct comparison.
* The details view (left part of the screenshot), which shows event details
does not have an edit functionality as well.
To conclude: I now have to search the event (e.g. in the agenda view) which
matches the details view. This requires a significant amount of cognitive
overhead in order to edit it.
