[kmail2] [Bug 485279] New: Drag-and-drop from the mail reader doesn't work for mails that consist of only the attachment
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485279 Bug ID: 485279 Summary: Drag-and-drop from the mail reader doesn't work for mails that consist of only the attachment Classification: Applications Product: kmail2 Version: 5.24.5 Platform: NixOS OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: UI Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: m...@dblsaiko.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Dragging a file out of the mail reader only creates a broken desktop entry for mails that have headers Content-Disposition: attachment. Mails containing DMARC reports from Google are formatted this way, for example. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open mail which consists only of the attachment 2. Drag attachment onto desktop OBSERVED RESULT It creates a file named "attachment:?place=body". When you try to open it, an error dialog saying "Could not read file attachment:?place=body." pops up. EXPECTED RESULT Drag-and-drop works like for attachments in a multipart email. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485268 Bug ID: 485268 Summary: Kmail crash after creating new PGP key Classification: Applications Product: kmail2 Version: unspecified Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Keywords: drkonqi Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: k...@lukesratcliffe.co.uk Target Milestone: --- Application: kmail (5.22.3 (22.12.3)) Qt Version: 5.15.8 Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Operating System: Linux 6.1.0-18-amd64 x86_64 Windowing System: X11 Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) DrKonqi: 5.27.5 [KCrashBackend] -- Information about the crash: I created a new PGP key for my email identity and the dropdown did not show the key after creating, it showed it was still loading - then on attempting to close the entire dialogue after 2 minutes of waiting, Kmail crashed as a whole. This appears to be similar to bug 485190 however I find it concerning that this behaviour is appearing on multiple different distributions (484869) The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: KMail (kmail), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #4 0x7f7a60251473 in QAbstractItemModelPrivate::removePersistentIndexData(QPersistentModelIndexData*) () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5 #5 0x7f7a602518b9 in QPersistentModelIndex::~QPersistentModelIndex() () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5 #6 0x7f7a611d6d7c in ??
