now this is interesting/confusing: on a different computer but with same
versions of kmail, kde, and linux, the not quoting problem does NOT appear. I
use YAST to install

when deleting an attachment there is still no trace of it/no information about

also Birthdays & Anniversaries are always shown after launch even when
