It may be called kontact. You need to raise a new bug report for kontact (if
that's the correct product name) about that issue.

Unfortunately how to get a consistent working system again is a distro issue,
not a KDE issue. If you can't sort it out, you need to ask for help on
ArchLinux/Manjaro mailing lists. The KDE bug reporting system

The error message which you report in comment 14 shows that the libicu package

than libical have been changed when you downgraded

When you downgraded libical, no other packages should have been changed. There
are evidently missing dependencies, which should not have happened when just
libical was supposed to have been changed. I'm

Just to be sure that I understand you correctly, please confirm that you
downgraded the libical package to version 3.0.14, and that the faults still
occurred.

This doesn't happen on my system, so without more information on exactly where
in akonadi_kalarm_resource CPU is being used, I can't investigate.
This issue will go away in KAlarm version 3.0, which will no longer

Did a single akonadi_kalarm_resource process use 100% CPU? If so, the stack
trace doesn't help to find out why, since it gives no indication of where in
the KAlarmResource it is hogging the CPU.

It looks as if the two resources are set up to use the same calendar file,

default. Do you have any idea why this might have happened - have

You can compose emails in KAlarm and schedule them from there. That may be less
integrated than doing it from KMail, but at least it's possible already.
