Firefox mailto (under Applications) is fine, as the launch of a kmail's new message form proves (I checked Firefox configuration too). It would be interesting to sniff the IPC message that Firefox sent to see if the information is there or not. I would be glad to help on this, just let me know what would be an appropriate tool for this purpose. To have it back again I have to right click on the toolbar - configure - change something and then apply. If I switch component and, for example, take a look at my agenda and then return to kmail, the toolbar has to be fixed again. Same thing happens when minimizing to tray. This bug does NOT happen when using kmail as a standalone app: it happens only when using it through kontact.
