[kmail2] [Bug 378231] Filters not being ran for incoming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378231 --- Comment #5 from Constantine --- So, below are new steps to reproduce, perhaps more reliable. It's assuming you have the "Local Folders" account that KMail creates by default. 1. Open "Settings" → "Configure filters…" 2.1. Add a new filter 2.2. Add filter criteria "subject" "contains" "TEST" 2.3. Add to filter actions "Mark As" "Read". 3. Create a mail with subject "TEST", and use "Message"→ "Save as draft". 4. Select the saved mail in "drafts", then mark it as "Unread". 5. Use dragging to move the selected mail into "outbox" of "Local Folders" account. Result: it's still marked as "Unread". 6. Select the mail in "outbox", then mark it as "Unread". 7. Use dragging to move the selected mail into "inbox" of "Local Folders" account. Result: the filter being triggered, and the mail is marked as read. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmail2] [Bug 378231] Filters not being ran for incoming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378231 --- Comment #4 from Constantine --- Though looking properties of "inbox" and "outbox" in the local folders I can tell they're identical. Any hint for how to compare their configuration is greatly appreciated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmail2] [Bug 378231] Filters not being ran for incoming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378231 --- Comment #3 from Constantine --- Wow, I found an interesting thing! If I manually mark the TEST mail as "unread", and then move into "inbox" of "Local Folders", the mail after getting there becomes "read". However doing the same in the reverse direction, i.e. from local "inbox" to a remote account doesn't mark the mail "read"! Furthermore, even within the local account the mail is marked as "read" iff it's moved into "inbox" — not to "outbox", "sent-mail", "trash", or wherever. So I assume this "inbox" folder have some special property set that makes filter to work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[kmail2] [Bug 378231] Filters not being ran for incoming
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378231 --- Comment #2 from Constantine --- FTR: still doesn't work for me. Archlinux, 5.5.3 version too. After a discussion on IRC I tried 1. Running KMail in KDE. 2. Looking the KMail log (receiving a mail doesn't produce an output) 3. Looking akonadiconsole tab "Job Tracker" (didn't find any clues) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
