I'm seeing a _lot_ of reports similar to

on various social media. (Where "a lot" is "a handful" -- normally, there
are none.) In short, lots of "current kernel doesn't boot, older one does,
reinstalling the kernel package doesn't seem to help".

Not sure what to tell people or what to do about it.
