Just to add, I noticed above that the original bug refers to nvidia
rather than intel graphics, and the fix I listed is particularly
appropriate only for Portege laptops with Intel graphics. The symptoms
for intel graphics seems to be identical to that listed in the original
bug report.

Hello all,
After going a bit grey, I found that /sys/class/backlight/toshiba breaks
after suspend, but /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight continues to
function ('echo $number backlight' after resume from suspend). Some
great folks over at Arch have figured this one out. I have a Toshiba
I don't think this bug is critical. Possibly not even high. The system
is still quite usable. But High is a good compromise.

I installed final version Linux Kernel 3.11 from PPA Mainline. Nothing
change. Fn F9 shortcut not working. I think that bug is in other place
than kernel.

With 13.10, when I close the laptop lid and remove the power cable, after one
night the battery will be empty and upon a fresh, powered boot I will get the
crash reported here.
