I downloaded the 12.04.2 and the Broadcom drivers loaded OK and
then I updated and all is well butI could not get the . 3 to work

I can't say it because this machine had precise for first OS.
It was working fine on the former machine with Ubuntu 11.10 and is still
working on Mint Debian Ed with 3.2 kernel.
Former PC hardware : Motherboard Asus P5ND2SE, GPU Nvidia (with proprietary
driver in Ubuntu and now Nouveau in LMDE).
Penalvch, before raring ( in example in 12.10) it was ok, I can
determine next hours what version of kernel it began.
