I can confirm that I have the same issue and I can reproduce it on a Dell Latitude Laptop running Xubuntu 13.04. Mine occurs every time that I execute airmon-ng start (interface) on any wireless interface. So there definitely seems to be a correlation with the wireless drivers or interfaces. I get
