I've tried 3.12-rc2, as far as I can tell just opening and closing the
rfcomm in BT seems to no longer crash the box - however, some
characteristics changed and NetworkManager no longer accepts
/dev/rfcomm* as a valid communications device as before, so I can't

This bug still occurs in saucy when /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_profile
contains low. I have not seem any lockup with high or mid.
I also tried dynpm in /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_method and had

In 13.10, AppArmor added the ability to get the AppArmor label of the peer on
the other end of an UNIX domain socket.
However, it doesn't work for sockets created with socketpair(). The
getsockopt() syscall returns ENOPROTOOPT.

I suppose this is a driver that would still be in the picture when
switching to Mir, and we can't hope to avoid the issue by changing
display servers? You could test this by following the directions at

Yes indeed : kubuntu saucy is now installable without any extra option.
All the other issues (sound and touchpad) are solved in 3.12-rc3 except the
libata.force=noncq story.
