What I would prefer? What are my choices? I'd prefer to be able to use

Roland Dreier, this would appear fixed in Trusty:
git clone git clone git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-trusty.git cd
trusty grep -r CONFIG_INFINIBAND_NES=
debian.master/changelog: * [Config] Enable CONFIG_INFINIBAND_NES=m
debian.master/config/config.common.ubuntu:CONFIG_INFINIBAND_NES=m
Now running 3.13.0-031300rc3-generic (from Mainline/Trusty RC) and have
had the longest continual uptime since moving to 3.11 (i.e. upgraded to
Ubuntu 13.10) - 8 days.
Will keep and eye on the situation, but I also have had backups running
and so far it looks stable.
Will continue to monitor.

Hi, I can confirm Rahul Jain's observation:
I am also on Mint 15.
I had that problem since Mint 14, then not for a long while and yesterday it
appeared again.
In my case, I am sure, my Hardware is OK, no smart errors on the SSD, and as
this is a notebook, I don't think, there are any pin
