with the old kernel it works even less: It doesn't find the device
anymore and the btusb kernel module is somehow blocked so that I cannot
unload it. With the new kernel it finds the device, but no operation
works on it.

I have added following line to my /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf:

After reboot and some testing I saw an improvement: drops did not cause

Verified with another laptop 201403-14860 Dell Inspiron 3541, which has the
same XHCI controller [1022:7814] (rev 11)
It doesn't have this issue with kernel updated to 3.13.0-43.
