For those who still have the problem (like me), I manage to fix it by upgrading
the firmware of my card reader.
I attach the archive that permits to upgrade. Unfortunately, the program works
only with windows but it works with virtualbox and USB sharing.

ppa/mainline, I can pinpoint that this bug was introduced with linux
kernel 3.18.
