I have the same problem in HP 14-ab019la..
"tap to click, right click, and left click work. Mutitouch, disable touchpad
with keyboard activity, as well as sensitivity settings don't work.
Trackpad, via xinput, detect as a "PS/2 Elantech Touchpad"

fn key not working on Macbook Pro 12,1
Installed 14.04 on second drive from CD with primary disc unconnected..
Boot off of secondary disc with primary disconnected
using default 14.04 settings and
driver and the system comes up with xfce properly.
Attempted to boot off secondary disk with grub with both
connected but that failed.
All back to normal running nVidia drivers.
For 14.04 ignore advice about /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Irrelevant.
Instead, boot into recovery mode in the grub menu.
Go into a shell (root shell) from the grub recovery menu.
# make read-write
mount -o remount,rw /
# remove nvidia packages.
apt-get purge
@ Simon: Please could you describe how to aply this "silo 22" to the
Ubuntu Touch device ?

Just add-apt-repository doesn't work as the priority of a silo is below
the regular archive so those things aren't pulled in.
At best you use the citrain command line tool for this. However if
you're installing a silo you will put your device into unsupported state
and have to reflash to avoid

A test with a latest rc-proposed image and silo 22 unfortunately fails.
