Upon further inspection, it seems that fstack-protector-strong was only
introduced in gcc 4.9 while 4.8 is still the default for trusty. Thus, I
believe the way to fix this problem would be to depend on gcc 4.9 and
make some changes to the build system/dkms to force it to use gcc 4.9
instead of

Also tested Kernel 4.4 RC7 did not solve the problem on my laptop when i
plugged a hdmi cable to the tv => the same error appears in /var/log/syslog.
Error disappears when i unplugged the hdmi cable.

After reading many recipes, which didn't help, I made this: cp
/etc/pulse/default.pa ~/.pulse/default.pa , and suddenly everything was ok. The
msg 'Home directory not accessible' should be (in sense) 'we can't find a
folder and a file' :-)
