Related to ID #1583357 in regards to the LIS improvements rebase to the 4.6
kernel, we would also like to include the below patches.
These are to fix the kdump feature when running on a Hyper-V VM, as the crash
scenarios might not always work for 16.04.

I can't reproduce this any more, using :
4.6.0-994-generic
I switch to the above kernel because I was seeing this problem (well,
the volume keys weren't working) with this kernel :
4.6.0-040600rc6-generic
I'm not entirely sure what's changed/what the difference is. My laptop
boots to the

So I can confirm that above patch cherry picked into 4.6 allows to boot
and configure multipath devices again (as long as there is not that
UNIX=m thing in which case there won't be any disks to multipath on).
