If "echo none > /sys/power/pm_test" doesn't work then it can be a
platform firmware (i.e. BIOS) issue.
Upgrade the BIOS may help.

I've solved it. Upgrading, with the Ukuu utility to kernel 4.20, the touchpad
is recognized and working! GREAT!!!
