This seems to be related to the Ubuntu-Kernel-Update (6.2 to 6.5).
I can confirm a similar issue installing the official nvidia linux driver.
Worked fine some weeks ago, but update some days ago failed. Checking
/var/log/nvidia-installer.log tells an interface conflict (error) and a warning
I've tried the kernel parameter and those artifacts are still happening.
But just on my FHD screen; not on my other screens (1440p).

I just installed Ubuntu 22.04 on my new laptop Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED. I
noticed a weird behavior when the screens goes locked, the brightness level is
automatically increased when the screen turns on back again. I also noticed

Can confirm same issue with following setup AMD® A12-9720p Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
Suspend is broken in 5.13.0-39-generic and 5.13.0-37-generic, it only works in

I installed Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS on a new ASUS TUF706HE-DS74 laptop alonside
Windows 10. The trackpad is recognized and functions normally in Windows and in
the BIOS UEFI interface. The trackpad has not responded at all anytime I am
running Ubuntu.
An external mouse works
Tested the kernel provided now and it seems to still act the same.
Attaching GIF with output of the `watch -n0 cat /proc/interrupts`
command.
I also tried switching the sleep mode back to the default (S0ix)
yesterday and this seems to work a lot better with 5.13 kernels than the
5.11 one and

Tried this now, and yes, both of these ("idma64.0, i2c_designware.0" and
"SYNA8009:00") are increasing while not using the touchpad at all
Further investigation reveals that this only occurs when S3 suspend is
enabled in BiOS. The default that is shipped is identified as s2idle in
systemd (just called "Windows 10 and Linux" in BiOS[1]) and is a sort of
software suspend that does not preserve much battery time (which is also

Update: tested new kernels 5.13.7 and 5.14rc4 now and issue still
persists in those kernels as well.

that's weird and I can't see any logical connection between the previous fix
and problem with docker registry.

Hi Frank, I think the patch did not apply cleanly on 5.10 an earlier, so
we need the backport here for groovy and focal.

I use Hyper-V and created VM with "Generation 2", I cannot boot Ubuntu
Hirsute Hippo Live CD, it gives me kernel panic, I tried it when there
were included 5.11.0-13 and 5.11.0-14 kernels - same result, when there
was 5.11.0-11 and older it was fine.
