Have the same issue on Xubuntu 18.04 on an intel J1900 machine with Kingston SSD. We also have a similar machine with exactly the same equipment but not having the Kingston SSDd running with no issues at all, looks like the Kingston SSD seems to be causing some problem. Hope ubuntu help us fix
