[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1424886] Re: Fn+F2 does not toggle wifi

2015-02-24 Thread Brian Harkness
Did this. Nothing changed. Fn+F2 still does not toggle wifi or LED. Wifi can be deactivated with rfkill, although light for wifi still stays on. I tired various tweaks (i.e. acpi_osi=Linux as boot paramater). Output as you requested once this update was completed is: $ sudo dmidecode -s

2014-04-19 Thread Brian Harkness
Still an issue as of Friday April 18 even running 3.14 kernel from ppa and I tried to remove problematic programs like docky (never survives a resume, even when 14.04 w 3.14 kernel does resume), and tried to run a more fresh install but issue still exists. Temporarily offloaded my 14.04 install

This happened again today. It seems to happen with lid closing being the trigger. I have not had an issue if I choose suspend from the menu. Let me know how to find more information for you. I have been a buntu user since 6.06 but don't have a lot of experience in finding logs/etc. Apport did

I did as you asked. I don't really notice any difference. The suspend issue only happened once with the linux-image-3.13.0-20-generic kernel and it is up to -22 and the issue has not repeated. There is something unexpected here with the 3-14 kernel: the driver acpi_cpufreq is not being used,

Finally found some info. As I had been watching my battery % drop quickly, I do notice that it seems to not be dropping like a rock now. It went from 60% to 59% in the last 18 minutes, and this is better than with I was seeing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of
