After pointing /boot/{initrd.img,vmlinuz} back to 6.2.0-27 and rebooting the software-updater wanted to remove the 6.2.0-31 kernel (done) and I catched the above log. Indeed the /lib/modules/6.2.0-32-generic/build symlink and hence the ~/scripts/sign-file is missing. And indeed the

Actually I see an exit status 1 instead of 11: E: linux-image-6.2.0-31-generic: installed linux-image-6.2.0-31-generic package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 and is the /boot/initrd.img-6.2.0-31 CPIO archive missing afterwards. Luckily I can fall back to kernel

I had the same problem (or a problem like the one at hand). In posts #12 through #15 the user commenting out a line in hist /etc/cryptsetup file resolved the problem. As I did not have that file I installed the cryptsetup{,-bin} packages and rebooted: problem resolved! :D -- You received this
