Public bug reported:
Kernel 5.19.0-31-generic with nvidia, zfs and VirtualBox.
After upgrading the kernel to 5.19.0-35-generic (via the software-updater) the
two /usr/src/linux-headers-* files are missing. This omission makes it
impossible to build e.g. the VirtualBox kernel modules.
Manually
Closed as fix (5.15.0-48-generic kernel) given.

Fix Released
Testing a clone of this Xubuntu instance on an Intel CPU (Celeron G1620 and
Core i5 8265U) showed that the problem does not occur there. So the
5.15.0-47.51-generic kernel booting problem only occurs on an AMD CPU (Ryzen 9
3900XT).
To determine whether the problem is in the kernel itself or in

Attached the output of `dpkg -l | grep linux` -- as requested.
Also attached the /var/log/messages and dmesg files -- whether or not these are
relevant in combination with the systemd binary logs I do not know.

I can reproduce the problem at will.

I had the same problem (or a problem like the one at hand).
In posts #12 through #15 the user commenting out a line in hist /etc/cryptsetup
file resolved the problem.
As I did not have that file I installed the cryptsetup{,-bin} packages and
rebooted: problem resolved!
