For rc2 and rc3, the machine stalls on first restart only (no tty) and
runs OK after (no shutdown problems). Same result when removing the
lowest Kernel (all of them). Canonical Kernel permanently stalls on
restart but runs OK. Plus, the boot
The only way to reach Grub’s menu is a cold shut down or to unplug the
power supply.
1. The clock is set default to 30sec.(no effect at 3sec.). The menu is
black-low-res.
$ sudo update-grub2 shows Kylin boot image and I’m able to open it. Installer
was black?
2. HP key enabled in bios gives
Fast boot is disable in bios. If I set Grub time out to 20, the machine
stalls on restart. 12 or 15 has no effect. Still not able to reach the
Grub menu with left shift. Grub menu (manual partitioning, entire disk,
UEFI) and suspend mode are the 2 bugs left. The machine runs normally
with rc3 a
Something must be done for the Grub menu and this bug comes from the 4.9
cycle.

This last one is after testing suspend mode (no tty) : cold shut down.
Suspend mode bug comes from rc2. The introduction of Canonical kernel
(4.10.0.all) in the system seems to be the source of the bug.

Now I have problems. Removing 4.9.0.11 and adding 4.10.0-1 at the same
time will stall on reboot. 4.10.0 stalls permanently on restart and the
HDD is noisy. I got the Grub menu back but it is intermittent. Will do
the inverse now: re-install 4.9.0.11 and delete 4.10.0.
