I'm not sure how, but I managed to get to a console and see the panic
trace on 5.15.0-84. (see attachment below) It does not match the same
panic that I've been previously getting with other kernels.

I followed the steps from #37, and they worked initially. However, after
a recent update, my kernel changed to 6.2.0-33, and now it no longer
functions properly. When I attempted to retrace the steps from #37, I
encountered error #99, even though I had deleted all the files created
I switched back to the NVIDIA drivers.

Bug seemed to be triggered by putting laptop to sleep with headphones
plugged in, then disconnecting while asleep. After wake/resume
headphones where no longer detected.

Another thing I realized is that I also updated the BIOS when I upgraded
the RAM. Updated to BE0092. I have no idea what the previous BIOS
version I was using (whatever shipped with the machine initially), but
this one sill seems the most up to date version.

I put in a Nvidia 3080 card with the 470 driver and the problem has gone
away if that helps anyone. So possibly a driver issue for me on the

Hi there. I'm having the same problem. When I'm looking at Firefox the
screen is nice and bright. When I click on XTerm right next to it, the
whole screen dims noticeable. I can do a video of it and replicate on
demand if needed. When I click back on Firefox, the whole screen
brightens back
So this was painful for us. AWS hosted server running Ubuntu 20.04.4
LTS. Just for others, here are the steps we took thanks to the other

Title:
TP-Link UB500 Bluetooth USB
Computer became unusable.
Takes forever to start. Fails to shutdown. In the console (Ctrl+alt+f2) reports
kernel panic.

This is happening to me on a ThinkPad E495 with AMD chipset and no
docking station, with Ubuntu LTS 20, kernel 5.11.0-40-generic (latest
HWE), for example on inserting an USB mouse:

Installed Ubuntu 21.10 on ASUS-TUF-Gaming-F17-FX706HM-TUF706HM. No
Bluetooth devices can connect.
Exact symptoms:
Click on the taskbar. It says Bluetooth Off. When
this issue is coming again now

Title:
Keyboard and touchpad randomly crash after boot
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
I've an emachines®/acer® EL1210-09 (Advance Micro Devices Inc. Athlon
LE-1620 (P/N ADH1620IAA5DH); nVIDIA® nForce® 780a SLI with planar C77 a2
GPU; nVIDIA® GF119 a1 GPU on PCIe 2.0 x16 slot). The system DMesg
predictably detects no EISA resources on probing platform eisa.0, so
EISA.c and related
I was also having a suspend/resume with 460.56+. Rolling back to 460.39
fixed it.

I downgraded to an even older kernel version (linux-image-4.15.0-20-generic,
last changelog entry in April 2018).
The problem still persists -- issue can be closed. Definitely a hardware defect.

Problem also occurs with older kernel 4.15.0-128.
Just tested with an Ubuntu 20 live CD. Same problem.
I therefore assume it's a hardware problem that is unrelated to Ubuntu.

The touchpad on my Lenovo Ideapad 720S-13IKB stopped working yesterday.
It was always working fine before that. It no longer shows up in my

Please close this bug. I was wrong about the queue depth being the
source of this issue. Currently I've tried including pci=nomsi at the
kernel command line, and I seem to be the avoiding SATA errors.
