Consistent boot time kernel panic
Status in linux
I prefer to avoid installing daily images on my laptop since I use it
for work. But anyway I noticed the problem is fixed after an update on
Ubuntu 19.10. The problem has been fixed several times in the past and
then after another update, it will come again. It would be nice to hear

still no explanation on this bug report. I guess I will have to choose

Isn't there an automatic update to fix this problem? If an average user
wants to switch from Windows to Linux and has this problem, it would be
bad a very bad user experience and I don't think the user would like to
fix this manually.

Same problem here since yesterday evening, when I accepted updates on Xubuntu
16.04 LTS!
There is a kernel panic on startup, because of package
linux-image-4.4.0-98-generic.
Hopefully I can select an older kernel by pressing the escape key.
Any ideas where it comes from? I thought the LTS
