Does the Broadcom BCM43142 802.11b/g/n [14e4:4365] chipset support 5GHz
?
Currently only 2.4GHz visible, for 'HP Stream 11 Pro' on Ubuntu 15.04
(Vivid) 64-bit (fully updated).

Possible workaround, for 14.10 ..
Quick press 'Power' button, and immediately start repeatedly pressing
Esc ... (Don't just press and hold.)

The suggested fix in Comment 129 (Adnan's answer, on AskUbuntu) does
work for Ubuntu 14.10; but requires his suggested changes to two source
files (before compiling). It did NOT require step 7, or any additional
files/binary code.
