yah I have actually never seen a bug fixed on the Ubuntu bug tracker, just deal
with it upstream or use a different distribution.
IMO Ubuntu should delete bugs.launchpad.net and just merge pull requests on
github/etc.

Seems to be fixed in 13.10 daily (Sun 18 Aug 2013 20:58:40 EDT)
I get about 5.6 GB/s on both cache of both encrypted and normal disks
Fresh install in VertualBox.
