I solved this problem by buying another WiFi/Bluetooth adapter. As I've been reading that some manufacturers (e.g. HP) whitelist a few adapters only in their BIOS, I can confirm that the Intel 7260.HMWWB works out of the box in a HP Envy 17-j188ez and doesn't cost much. -- You received this
