Hi,
I've got a Compaq Presario B1207, and met the problem a few days ago.
(Fresh Ubuntu 13.04 install)
I've tried to upgrade to 3.9.0 stable from the PPA sources
(http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/), but no luck till now.
I didn't got to the point where I could test the pm functions.
Just checked this in Saucy 3.11.0-7-generic still the same issue for me
with HP Probook 4510s.
