I'm afraid this kernel panic happened today (14-oct-2013) again with my
current kernel (3.5.0-41-generic #64~precise1-Ubuntu SMP) .
As suggested, I also tried to install the latest Mainline kernel -
following the instructions found at

@jsalisbury: Hello again. I did not yet try the latest upstream kernel
(of the 3.11 series), but I got another kernel panic this evening (Sun,
18-aug-2013), at around 1H00 am (Lisbon time), using the same kernel
that I mentioned, when I opened this bug report (3.5.0-37-generic
64-bit).

3.11 line, I will only be able to try doing that in a few days.
