eros2, thank you for your comment. So your hardware and problem may be tracked,
could you please file a new report with Ubuntu by executing the following in a
terminal while booted into a Ubuntu repository kernel (not a mainline one) via:

Thank your for your reply.
Sadly, the HP Pavilion was not mine.
As its owner doesn't use PCMCIA cards, I added the boot option and had to give
it back to him this week-end...

Hi,
I just want to say that I've hit that bug on much more older kernels
than you guys...
After installing Linux Mint 13 Xfce (32bits) on a HP Pavilion ZV5000 [with TI
PCI1620 PC card controller (rev 01)], I could only boot 1 of 5 times without a
total freeze, needing a hard reset (neither

[Acer Extensa 5230] linux-image-3.11.0-12-generic
Good evening,
executing ubuntu-bug linux (even with sudo), it tells me that the kernel is not
officially supported by Ubuntu.
May be because it is a kernel from the previous release that is not in saucy ?
Uname -a returns:
Linux PAS 3.8.0-33-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 23 17:26:34 UTC 2013
Aureliano, please just open a report via
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+filebug and we can take
it from there.
