I downloaded fresh daily build from 11.03.2014, the problem is reproduced, I
confirm a bug. Problem reproduced on virtual computer under Microsoft Hyper-V
2008 R2 SP1 at a stage installation and a language choice. When scrolling mouse

Using the image trusty-desktop-amd64.iso built on 07-Mar-2014 07:52,
I'm not able to reproduce the cursor springs when scrolling.
From our side the mouse scroll and mouse scroll click are working fine,
just as on the Server build.

I'm confirm bug on trusty-desktop-amd64 daily build 26.02.2014. When i'm
scrolling mouse middle weel - the cursor springs in the upper left
corner, not important down or up I scroll. The click works with the 3rd
mouse button correctly. I can't update Ubuntu to the last version since
in this build
I've tested this on a trusty-server build from March 2nd, not on the
Desktop build. Will check that as well.

For what it is worth, I notices that normal scrolling with the mouse
wheel works again with the current kernel in trusty (it does not work at
all with the current saucy kernel).

In order to bisect, we need to identify the last good kernel and the
first bad kernel. It sounds like this may have worked in the 3.8
kernel, since you believe this was introduced in 3.10. Per comment #4,
it also appears this bug exists in the 3.9 final kernel. Can you test
the v3.9-rc1 kernel

Per the above suggestion in the bug page, testing kernel v3.8-raring shows the
same behavior.
Furthermore, the hid_hyperv kernel module is not present at all for this
version, as searched on the entire file-system which shows it only for the
default v3.11 kernel.

Our goal is to identify the last good working kernel and the first bad
