With Ubuntu 13.10 (3.11.0-15-generic) on a Lenovo T420 I encountered the same problem. Booting behaviour was erratic, it succeeded roughly every second or third time. The suggested workaround (kernel parameter pci=noacpi) works for the moment. -- You received this bug notification because you

It did, as documented on #1007138. On older releases, the system would sometimes boot and sometimes not. #1007138 mentions hanging 9 out of 10 times but I think on raring it hung something like 1 out of 4. This is, of course, a very rough statistic. On Saucy, it never seems to boot without
