Update. I had to remove v3.12 trusty kernel. The system becomes quite unusable.
So far, only v3.11.0-12 is usable for more than 1 hour.
There is something definitely wrong in the rt3290 support.

Hi, the problem happens either when running on battery or with the power
supply. I tested with 3 different kernels:
3.11.0-12-generic
3.11.0-13-generic
3.11.0-14-generic
The last one seems the more stable though the disconnect are frequent.
I tested also the latest v3.12 kernel (from
Update: the v3.12 trusty kernel is more stable than the others I tested.
WPA authentication still not working; WEP only.
