It would be good to see if this problem comes back, like it did for you
in the past. If it does not, it would be helpful if you can boot back
into the latest Ubuntu kernel, and apply the updates to see if the fix
upstream made it into the stable kernel. If it did not, we can perform
a reverse
I'm not really sure what a lot of this means and I have a lot to learn. From
what I've gathered the kernel is like the middle man between my OS and computer

The problem went away, and then came back. I have the same problem on 2
laptops and also on my desktop computer running 14.04

Yes, I can login as a guest then log out and login to my account and the
keyboard works. It seems to only happen on boot, and when I click the
laguage icon EN it works. This also seems to be the issue on another
laptop of mine I just installed 14.04 on. So I'm guessing this is a
