[Asus X550CA] Touchpad not working in ubuntu 14.04
Hi,
The same problem here with my ASUS X550CA. Touchpad does not work AT ALL
on any recent Ubuntu version (and Mint, Debian live, Manjaro and some
other distros as well).
Cursor jumps and the system freezes for a few minutes.
However I have just tested PClinuxOS in live mode (KDE and Mate
Interesting. I am running the latest Kernel and I don't have this bug, but
another one. My touchpad works fine, as do left and right mouse buttons.
However, whenever I keep using the touchpad instead of an external mouse
consistently: ubuntu freezes within a period of 2 to 25 minutes. I kept

i8042.debug=1 ? This will help me debug the problem.

I have the same problem with my asus F552LD. The odd thing is that when
i try an ubuntu 14.04 live cd on the shop for this machine all work
perfectlyalso the touchpad. So, why now the touchpad doesn't work
properly?
