MY MISTAKE! I manually blacklisted eeepc-laptop while testing -wmi (untill i knew wkat makes acpi-osi) I tried removing all kernel parameters and load -wmi, but power button still does not work. Also brightness is not working. (but wlan does work with -wmi) NOW i booted with parameters and

Looking at dmesg it seems that eeepc-wmi is complaining and not loading because acpi_osi=Linux is used. The older module eeepc-laptop is not loaded. Have you tried: 1. either remove the acpi_osi=Linux from the command line 2. manually sudo modprobe eeepc-laptop otherwise? -- You received this
