Thank you for helping. modprobe lib80211 did not solve the problem by the way.
Right now, I'm testing the broadcom-sta-source package for vivid
6.30.223.248-2 and it looks promising. Will do some more testing. If
this doesn't work either I will go back to bcmwl-kernel-source and
Pascal Fürst, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. Could you please provide the missing information following
