It looks like your laptop has a Clickpad as discussed at
http://www.synaptics.com/en/clickpad.php ?
If so, barring some unforeseen bug, I think I may know what the problem
is, and it would be a general Clickpad issue, versus
yes, when i run these commands, the issue stops.
